Website Copy Optimisation

Optimising website copy with agreed search terms is an important element of the Betwixt search marketing campaign.

Before undertaking to optimise the copy for each website page, we will assess several factors including relevancy, usability, readability and usefulness.

Why? A few years ago the technique of keyword stuffing passages of text proved an effective optimisation technique. Not any more, search engine algorithms are far more sophisticated in how they view text on a page and may penalise web pages which continue to use this unethical method.

What is the process? In most cases the client produces each page of website copy which must adhere to specific web copy guidelines supplied by us. The reason for this is that clients know their business and target audience. Betwixt will normally optimise such copy, however, in some cases our in house copy writer is utilised to write each page of text if required. We do recognise that in certain industries, legal sign off is required, therefore, once all website copy is optimised, it must be agreed by the client.
